I would not be where I am if it wasn't for the amazing educators who taught me, both through the public school system and through private instruction. I am a passionate teacher and strong supporter of music education, and for over 10 years I have provided private instruction on a variety of musical subjects for students ages 3-65+.

I teach music and drums as a language, and like any other language, it is best discovered through conversing with those who speak it. As a teacher, I aim to guide you through your musical goals from this perspective, and offer concepts that not only build your vocabulary, but allow you to extend beyond our time together and onto a path of self discovery.
Lessons are available both online or in person at my home studio in Los Angeles. Online students can connect via Zoom, and will have clear, high-quality instruction provided through a home recording studio. Students who study in person will have access to professional recording equipment for their instructional or audition-based needs. Students may also request to have lessons recorded, which can be delivered via dropbox. Google drive, etc
Lessons are by appointment, with an option of 30 minutes or 1 hour, and can focus on the following:
-Drum Set
-Marching Percussion
-Classical and Jazz Music Theory
-Recording, mixing, and mastering
-Composition and Arranging, ranging from percussion ensemble, concert band, big band, media scoring, and small ensemble (jazz, rock, etc.)

Clinics & Masterclasses
I have performed a variety of clinics and masterclasses for both Texas school districts as well as the Minnesota Percussion Association, including: Texas All-Region and All-State audition preparation, drum set improvisation, big band, and other educational topics.
